Hi,

Do we need to have a DBA privilege inorder to use IMP/EXP.
what are the various options available with IMP/EXP.

Any help with example really appreciated.

Hi,

I am tring to import the dmp file.

This is the command I am using

IMP userid=abc/abc file=c:\1.dmp full-Y

Its giving an error you dont have dba privilege.

A part from the above options is there any other options for importing a data.

Instead of SAYING what error you have, COPY & PASTE the log then we can exactly see what happened and not your interpretation of what happened.

An export done by a DBA can only be imported by a DBA.
