hello
i am familiar with manual database creation on windows platform.
-oradim to create a service
-orapwd to create a password file
run the create database scritp...
but is it the same steps on unix based systems ?
what diffrences are there
oracle 10g

same steps, only no oradim or 'service' concept.

thanks for your awesome help
i need it for a standby database creation, i cant use dbca for creation of a standby database from a cold backup, so i need a small notes over the procedure
how it differs from windows
