Could anybody help me with this issues?
It seems that it was different between 10g and 8i/9i for default users' password?I am not sure it.

Really Hope I can get good ideas from all of you.

Hi,
Don't know about 8i,
but In Oracle 9i
Default Password
1.sys ----> change_on_install
2.system --> Manager
3. scott ---> tiger ( a/c status is open)

In Oracle 10g.
We have to give password for "sys" and "system" during installation time and also we can also set others user with sys and system password some or different.
In 10g there is no default password for sys and system user.
even scott user password is tiger but a/c status is "LOCK" you have to unlock scott user.

Hi,
SQL> select  account_status from dba_users
  2  where username = 'SCOTT';

ACCOUNT_STATUS
--------------------------------
LOCKED

SQL> conn scott/tiger@db02
ERROR:
ORA-28000: the account is locked


Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.
SQL> --we have to UNLOCK scott user account.
SQL> conn sys@db02 as sysdba
Enter password:
Connected.

SQL> alter user SCOTT account UNLOCK;

User altered.

SQL> conn scott/tiger@db02
Connected.
SQL>
