Some librararies are missing.
Before you start to troubleshoot,
just make sure you followed all the pre-requisites as discussed here
http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/OracleDB10gInstallationOnRedHatAS21.php
Else, start over with the said doc as a guidance.

Hi,

Hope that some library executables are missing.

Did you set the ORACLE_HOME,ORACLE_SID, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables in the login profile?.

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib

If you are still unable to connect, then relink all executables of Oracle. Go $ORACLE_HOME/bin then run the relink file from this direcotry.
