Hi there

I have written a pl/sql program which I have scheduled to run at certain intervals using dbms_job. Is it possible to send a notification to a SNMP monitoring tool such as HP OpenView or Netcool if a job fails.

I am trying to avoid sending notofications via e-mail.

Bye

Hi

I do not think this is built into the database.

If You can find a Java class or C program for this, it might me doable. A Java class, You can load and then call from pl/sql.
A C program, You can call using extproc.
