i have created a tablespace (oracle 10g), OS is Solaris


Create tablespace astra datafile '\export\xyz\abc\gau.DBF' size 1024M;


but it is giving the errors ORA-0119 and ORA-27044 and also

Intel SVR4 UNIX Error 28: No space left on device

i know The steps for creating tablespaces vary by operating system.

I was able to create one on windows yesterday, but there is

some problem with solaris, will anyone please tell me how

to do it in solaris ?

The message reflects that the filesystem does not enough space. Are you sure you have enough free space on the file system.

yes i have enough free space

i gave df -k command to see it, and i calculated the available

free space (given in kb)..i have enough free space to store

my datafiles.

for oracle, i have only 5675 kb !!!

i will delete unwanted files and let you know

'\export\xyz\abc\gau.DBF' Windows format

'/export/xyz/abc/gau.DBF' Solaris format.
