Hi,

I am not an oracle expert, and we have a problem. We had a old solaris (E3500) machine running oracle 8, and the database was mounted on a san.

The machine has croaked. The data on the san can be accessed by other machines, but we have no other solaris machine.

Is it possible to access this data from another version of oracle on a different os?

No, 'cuz different filesystems, ENDIAN issues, etc.
