Dear DBA's,

I am working as an Oracle DBA cum ERP Consultant in a Private Firm. I am not that much an Hardcore DBA, but i can manage the show as and when problem comes mainly by looking in ORAFAQ.

The problem is because i am the only person to take care of the ERP as well as the database. I do not get much time to look into the Database, but so far i have managed it. But when i go for Oracle DBA interviews GOD help they just tear you apart.

I have come across many books for learning the tasks that an Oracle DBA needs to do. But all the Books just do not give in the details. Is there any book for starter DBA's which clearly makes us understand the DBA tasks and then step by step goes deep into the tasks of DBA explaining each and every minute point. I really need help.

Also, please let me know if there are any training institutes in Mumbai which gives you Oracle DBA training, not certification but the real training.

PLEASE DBA's help me out to be the best.

If u have any suggestions please let me know, whatever it may be.

Is the Oracle Administrators Guide a book by Oracle Press? If no then can you mention the Authors Name.

Plse try to get some books from wilshire software technologies Hyderabad. they give you the hand book and as well as the theory book. you said you are already managing the show in your firm. try to learn from the books and the sites like are the best I come across. and ofcourse the Oracle
