Hi,

During a import that is taking around 1 minute i checked V$session_longops.

But it is not showing the information about that.

If i want to know the progress of import which view other than V$session_longops i have to look?

Also my test db is in noarchivelog mode.

I tried to make an online databbase full backup using RMAN.

That operation failed and i checked the V$session_longops.

Information about the failed process is stored in that.

Please clarify my doubts about the V$session_longops.

Thanks in Advance

For longer operations...I don't know the exact cutoff, but one minute wouldn't be long enough.

I believe that you can set some of the info displayed in this view, like client and module, from the dbms_application_info package.

SET_SESSION_LONGOPS Procedure
Sets a row in the V$SESSION_LONGOPS table
