Hi there,
I started having this problem after I'd applied this patch, Interim Patch: 3505037 Base Bug: 3432729. Since then, all the new trace files are owned (created) by Root user instead of Oracle user. I am very sure that I started the database instance by logging as Oracle user.

Enivornment: Oracle 10gR1 on HPUX 64 bits

1. Any idea what is the cause of the problem?
2. Any solution?
