Hi,

I have dmp file exported on 10g. Is it possible to do the import into 8i.(i can not get a new file exported with EXPORT 8.1). Any GUI tool would be nice.

No u cannot i think so.
The reason is that EXP dmp of 9i itself is not compatible with the earlier of Oracle.

If you used 10g EXP to export, then use the 10g IMP to import. I have not done it, but should work.

Oracle DOES NOT make export/import downward compatible.

Like I can export in 8i and import in 9i.
I cannot export in 9i and import in 8i.

BTW, why can't you export in 8i ??
